Wale Performance

Nigerian-American rapper, Wale, came to my school William Paterson University on April 27, 2013. It was a great experience because for one I got to shake his hand!

The last time my Willy P had any celebrity entertainer action was back in 2010 when we had rappers J. Cole and Fabolous come by in the fall. Other fellow students and I had a really good view from where he was which made it more exciting because it was more interaction to his music.

Born Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, the Maryland native got his start to success back in 2006 when he recorded his first song "Rhyme Of The Century." He was then featured in a column of Souce Magazine. He later began to work on mixtapes and worked with a few artists such as Rick Ross, Trinidad James, French Montana, and many more. Now being part of the Mayback Music crew he has sold over 30 million albums. His new album, "The Album About Nothing," will be out in stores June 25, 2013.

The above clip is him at my school in our Recreational Center.
