The Cleveland Hero Issue

Mediatakeout.com is one of a few sites known for spilling gossip on the latest incidents. One post was about the Cleveland hero, Charles Ramsey.

Investigators claimed that he had a criminal record of beating up his wife and was charged for his three attacks. Now usually I don't believe in rumors until they are poven by the source itself, but it got me thinking at the same time.

Does a person's negative past affect a positive deal that they are doing in the present?

Even if their criminal past relates to a current heroic situaiton, it makes you wonder if that person could be trusted. For example: let's say a man raped a young girl when he was in his 20s, he is now in his 40s and saves a four-year-old from a man that has been molesting her for a long time, should that man be considered a hero even though the situation is contradictory.

It is definitely possible that people can change especially if they have the mind-set that what they did in their past was wrong and now it's time to grow up. Everything is a learning experience, but at the same time you never know who is really to be trusted. People also has to realize that everyone in the world makes mistakes, but one shouldn't settle in the mistake.

So is it ok to judge a person by their past? Should a person's past be taken into consideration if it doesn't have anything to do with a current problem or situation? What do you think?

Childfree By Choice Rights

The idea of having the"American Dream" is usually a standard that society takes into consideration often. At around 25, one is typically to be married with 2.5 kids, but what if you get married with no desire of being parents.

According to the census bureau, the birth rate made a sudden decline in 2008 which led to people wondering why the drop. Most couples were starting to reveal that they are childless by choice. The childfree by choice movement has caused many stigmas by critics stating that couples (mainly married) that choose to be childfree are selfish. Other critics state that childfree couples could be sensible. Choosing to have kids is no different than choosing to not have them.

Some of the reasons why most married couples choose to be childfree are freedom, economy, not responsible enough, or not ready. It is important for society to know that people having those reasons does not make them selfish, instead makes them smart because they know themselves enough to know that they can't handle an extra life. Other critics noticed one of the top reasons is the overpopulation and pollution rate. Producing more kids means too much more of society than what is already a lot of.

Getting married is something people choose to do, so does having kids. Since kids are a choice, couples should be allowed to have birth control choices whether it is permanent or temporary. Even though surgery is a big risk with altering the reproductive system a couple can always freeze their eggs and sperm. With that option in mind, a women should be allowed to get a hysterectomy if she doesn't having any kids and a man should be allowed to have a vasectomy. The problem is hysterectomy effects a women's drive and hormones whereas a vasectomy can be reversible because the tube can fuse back together.

The first clip at the top of the page is of college students and staff explaining their opinions on childless couples. The second clip is a panel of women on the Joy Behar show explaining the side of the movement.

What are you thoughts on being childfree? Is it selfish or sensible?

R.I.P. Chris Kelly

As you have you all have probably heard by now, Chris "Mac Daddy" Kelly of the 1990s rap group, Kris Kross, has died Wednesday.

Known for wearing his clothes backwards with his buddy Chris Daddy Mac Smith, the Atlanta-native dynamic duo took the music industry by being known as the cute little boys that can rap. They first got their start when they were discovered by then 18 year-old, Jermanine Dupri, in the mall. Once getting signed to Ruffhouse Records, Jermaine Dupri produced the first album "Totally Krossed Out" which sold millions in the U.S.

The album featured the hit song, "Jump," which topped the charts back in 1992. The boys then made an appearace in Michael Jackson's video Jam which also featured Michael Jordan. In 1993 they released their second album, "Da Bomb." It featured the hit song, "Alright," and the album went certified platinum. In 1994, they became favorites of Nickelodeon when they were asked to do a rap song for the Rugrats theme song as well as doing compilaton albums.

Kris Kross made a comeback in 1996 when they released their third studio album, "Young, Rich, & Dangerous," which made gold. The album featured the songs, "Tonight's Tha Night," and "Live and Die For Hip Hop." The boys split afterwards but reunited for the So So Def's 20th Anniversary earlier this year where it was Kelly's last appearance.

On May 1 the rapper was found unresponsive in his Atlanta home. One would suspect it was from his battle with cancer, but reports say that he overdosed on heroin and cocaine the night before his death. Kelly was only 34.

Hamilton Park

Now, I swore I thought I had mentioned these guys before, but I can't believe I didn't so here I go.

These lovely men that you see in the picture is such an amazing group that I am heavenly crazy in love with named Hamilton Park. The group consist of Chris Voice, Anthony, Mr. Marcus Lee, and Royce P. They come from the east side of Atlanta, GA that are trying to turn the R&B game around in such a great way. They have been best friends for about 10 years where they started their friendship in the church.
Chris met Mr. Marcus and Anthony singing in a church choir and the two introduce them Chris to Royce P. The boys would go to a place called Hamilton Park, which is obviously where they got their name, and that's where they bonded and perfected their talents. They took their talents into the arms of Anthony's uncle, Frame, and then later ran into legendary music mogul, Andre Harrell. The boys sang the National Anthem for him and was signed as the first group on Harrell Records.
They are described to be the modern day Jodeci because of their silky smooth voices and having the essence of soul in their songs. Which is ironic because Jodeci is one of their influence as well as Jagged Edge, 112, New Edition, and most guy of the successful guy groups that you can think of back in the 90s. With that being said they call themselves the "Connoisseurs Of Love" because of they are the perfect gentlemen and speak directly from the heart.
I must say they greatly deserved it because I can't tell you how much I love this group. My favorite is Chris Voice. I don't know what it is about him but he caught my attention. Of course the other guys are just as special so meeting them would be a dream come true. I have been a major fan of them since early 2011 when they were just getting known and I will never stop loving them. I don't call myself a fan anymore instead I am a lover of the group. Even if they were too stop singing, which will never happen, I will still support them and listen to their music until I die.
The definitely needs to watch out for these guys because they are a blessing. So far they have 2 mixtapes out, the first one being "We Do It For The Sheets," and "We Do It For The Streets Reloaded." The second that kind of just came out which is "Game Of Thrones." They also have a self-title EP that was released October 11, 2011.
I'm you, you will LOVE their songs, absolutely amazing. I usually don't get too hype over artists, but these really took my heart. That's how special they are so call me a groupie if you want, but again I'm a lover of the group. Of course they also have a lot of music videos out such as "Computer Love," "Fallin, and their first debut video "Thing Called Us." They recently just posted their latest video, "Born For This," and in my opinion is a beautiful video. I like how dim the video looks making the song sound extra sexier. Pretty soon they will have another video for their "Weekend" which I can can hear the song. I've heard snippets and it sounded beautiful from what I heard. I can't wait to see the video. The video last video below is a behind the scenes look at it. The other videos are songs and interviews. Of course they have a lot more as well as performances but I'll save that for future posts.
I need for everyone to look these boys up because they are not going anywhere! They have a very nice website: www.hamiltonparkmusic.com. you can find all of their twitter pages and facebook as well as any other information that you need from these boys. If you are lucky you can become a hamilton park sweetheart. I consider myself an offline HPSweetheart because I don't have twitter or facebook, but at least I'm a strong supporter forever. Check these guys out in the videos I have posted on this page and make sure you go and support them.

IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS WILL NOT BE THE LAST TIME THAT I AM MENTIONING THESE GUYS. EVERTIME THERE IS AN UPDATE ABOUT THEM, BEST BELIEVE I WILL POST IT ON HERE AS WELL. IF YOU GET TIRED OF READING ABOUT THEM I SUGGEST YOU NOT TO GO ON THIS BLOG ANYMORE BECAUSE IM NOT STOPPING.

Also if anybody has the link to their Game Of Thrones mixtape please send it to me. I must have their songs. My iphone is craving for that mixtape. You can email me at TIAJ338@aol.com.

Wale Performance

Nigerian-American rapper, Wale, came to my school William Paterson University on April 27, 2013. It was a great experience because for one I got to shake his hand!

The last time my Willy P had any celebrity entertainer action was back in 2010 when we had rappers J. Cole and Fabolous come by in the fall. Other fellow students and I had a really good view from where he was which made it more exciting because it was more interaction to his music.

Born Olubowale Victor Akintimehin, the Maryland native got his start to success back in 2006 when he recorded his first song "Rhyme Of The Century." He was then featured in a column of Souce Magazine. He later began to work on mixtapes and worked with a few artists such as Rick Ross, Trinidad James, French Montana, and many more. Now being part of the Mayback Music crew he has sold over 30 million albums. His new album, "The Album About Nothing," will be out in stores June 25, 2013.

The above clip is him at my school in our Recreational Center.

Manology

One of my favorite singers has teamed up with a rap legend to create a book that is letting out all the secrets that men wouldn't want women to know! I'm talking about Tyrese and Rev. Run who are best friends and mentor/mentee. The two started to bond more once they created the book explaining different perspectives on certain men. I have to the book myself and I must say it is deep!
The book was first released on Feb. 5 right before Valentine's Day. Tyrese and Rev. Run have been to different schools and news stations giving people the scoop on what exactly could be floating inside your man's head. It is very different from Steve Harvey's, "Act Like A Lady, Think Like A Man," because he only gave the basics whereas Tyrese and Rev. Run to it there and went into detail on everything from sex to communication and even Tyrese's sex life.

"We have a problem with what you don't know," -Tyrese
"Love should not be Legs Open Very Easy," -Rev. Run

So far the book has been a success being on the New York Times best seller list and even other celebrities have been responding to the book in a postive way such as Ven Diesel and Sanaa Lathan. I read the book three times and these men really did a great job with it. There were certain things I knew and things I didn't really think about until I saw it in great detail. Tyrese spoke more in the book than Rev. Run mostly because he had a lot to say from a single guy's point of view. Rev. Run of course is speaking from a married man's point of view.
The whole idea of the book started with a phone call. They were arguing back and forth about cheating and off course they couldn't agree on the different aspects of it. The conversation lasted for about four hours and that's when Rev. Run said we should do a called "I Bed To Differ." They decided to change the name because one thing they did agree on was that women should know what to expect for getting their heartbroken. Rev. Run states that the book is a manual so women won't be manipulated. Listen to some of the interviews that these two best friends been on to get more of an idea on their perspectives.

Yeast Infection Cream Health Growth Update

A few months ago there was a video on worldstarhiphop.com about using yeast infection cream as a way to grow your hair. Since everyone said it worked it seemed like it would be worth a try. Sure enough people weren't lying. The only downside was it makes some people's hair dry so you still have to be careful. If you don't believe me or haven't seen any of the videos that were on the news or youtube. Here's some clips at the top of the page.
