Boy Suspended For Being A Hero!...What?!

Can y'all believe this bull..A 13-year-old boy tried to save his friend from being bullied. Instead he ended up in the principal's office.
Seventh grader, Briar McLean, broke up a fight that was about to turn into a stabbingv on Tues, May 28. His friend was constantly getting bullied and finally it escalated. Once McLean stepped in to save his friend the principal caught him. When he was sent home, he told his mother what happened and then later went to the Calgary Board of Education to make settlements with the school.
The principal explained to the mother that it was not necessary for McLean to step in and be apart of the fight. McLean's mother, Leah O'Donnell, replied saying that her son had every right to try and defend his friend. Luckily no one got hurt, but what her son did was very heroic and in no way was it to try and enhance the fight. His mother went on to say that if she was involved in a fight then she would want support and for someone to protect her as well and that she is very proud of her son.
That was very sweet and generous for Briar to step in and save his friend. That took a lot of courage to do so since there was a knife involved. Anything could've happened to him and his friend, but luckily there were no reports of harm. The bullying is really getting too crazy and carried away for no reason and the abuse of it, as far as weapons, is starting at such a young age. It makes you go where are kids getting these ideas from. There are so many campaigns and PSA's about bullying to put a stop to it, but it seems like there is no stopping because have found ways to bring it back. We can only hope.
